Foreword

In any discussion of Monotheism in the Noachide - Abraham‘s traditions as renewed in history through their respective offspring of Prophets of which; Moses in Judaism, Jesus in Christianity and Muhammad in Islam, represent only a restricted limited sample within the Abraham‘s tradition itself, the idea of submission to the will of God (ISLAM) is not only elemental, but understandably pivotal, since it constitutes the foundation-stone on which the whole edifice of monotheism is built.

Abraham after all is depicted in the Qur’an as the archetype “?an?f”; i.e. one who follows pure straight, non-deviant monotheism1;

مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَهُودِيًّا وَلا نَصْرَانِيًّا وَلَكِنْ كَانَ حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ {67}

{67} Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah's (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah.

إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِين.َ. {68}

{68} Without doubt, among men, the nearest of kin to Abraham, are those who follow him, as are also this Prophet (Mohammad) and those who believe: And Allah is the Protector of those who have faith.

Seen from the Quran’s perspective;

(1) The Judeo-Christian’s lost autographic Scriptures, of which are extent today only secondary defective copies of secondary faulty copies and

(2) The autographic Qur’an itself, which renewed their messages, correcting them to conform to the original autograph,

Derive all from one and a single Proto source known as; «the Mother of the Book"2 (Arabic;أم الكتاب ), of which the Qur’an is the only existing autograph.

This explains to a certain extent why, for Muslims in particular, it is incumbent on all people to believe in all divine precedent messengers and their messages.

This is made one of their most important credos {Qur'an (2) (Al-Baqara [The Cow] (285)};

{285}آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ.

{285} The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith.

Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers.

"We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say:

"We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

Seen from this perspective, all the Prophets of Judaism, including John and Jesus, besides others sent to other nations and mentioned only in the Qur’an, are with Muhammad, their seal; Muslim’s Prophets without the slight distinction made between them, since all emanating from God and delivering exactly the same ineffable message.

Fact 1;

Muslims are the only Noachide -Abraham’s Monotheists who can claim rightfully that; all the Prophets of Monotheism are theirs and all their Scripturs are theirs

A fact of paramount importance, when it comes to analyze or interpret Biblical texts, as will be shown later in this study.

But considering things at the most superficial level, since our aim here, is to acquaint the reader with the Muslim’s Hermeneutical Paradigm proper, and how it compares and relates to its two sisters’ paradigms, suffice to say that what is germinal, fundamental and basic in Islam, is that the latter considers itself;

a) The last manifestation of Monotheism in history, possessing the “Proto Autographic Original Master Message of Monotheism” and considers

b) Muhammad the seal of prophecy, not only within the Noachide - Abraham‘s traditions, but universally.

A Qur’anic assertion, among many others, which should not be accepted at its face value by any alert non believer, but subjected to falsification, through testing and scientific probing in order either;

a) To accept it as true, if it passed the test of falsification successfully; i.e. verified by intangible facts, thus verifying the claim of the transcendence of the Qur’an, or

b) To dispel it as false, with the dire consequence, that the Qur’an is no more than a mere human work and does not emanate from God as is claimed!

The reader should appreciate, that the Qur’an by calling on doubters to submit its “plain non metaphysical clear assertions” (دعاوى القران المحكمة), which are the only ones amenable to human reasoning, to the test of scientific falsifiability, is the only religious book to consider that;

Religion, before becoming a matter of blind faith, should first pass the acid test of scientific enquiry.

Keeping this in mind let me now review for the benefit of the reader some Muslim premises which are of relevance to this study, since we will call on them later.

1.) Muslim ‘s Religious Worldview

1.1) Mankind Is one {Qur'an Al-Baqara (البقرة) [The Cow] (213)}3

{213}كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنْذِرِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ فَهَدَى اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.

{.213} Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight..

1.2) Prophet Muhammad being a final universal Messenger

a) {Al-Qur’an {21) (Al-Anbiya)(الأنبياء) [The Prophets]}) (107)

.{107} وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

{107} We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all mankind.

b) Al-Qur'an (7) (Al-Araf( (الأعراف)[The Heights]) (158)

{158}قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ النَّبِيِّ الأمِّيِّ الَّذِي يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَلِمَاتِهِ وَاتَّبِعُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ.

{158} Say: "O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allah, to Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He That giveth both life and death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided."

1.3) How Muhammad (P.B.U.H) relates to Scriptures?

}Qur'an (5). (Al-Maeda) (المائدة) [The Table, The Table Spread]) (44-48){

{44}إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالأحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ فَلا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُون.َ

{44} It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's book, and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men, but fear me, and sell not my signs for a miserable price. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) Unbelievers.

{45}وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالأنْفَ بِالأنْفِ وَالأذُنَ بِالأذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ فَمَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ.

{45} We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers.

{46}وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الإنْجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِلْمُتَّقِينَ.

{46} And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.

{47}وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ الإنْجِيلِ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ.

{47}Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.

{48}وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ.

{48}To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.

Note; the Quran, as will be shown below, asserts that some books of the scriptures, have been either;

1) tampered with, or

2) even fabricated outright and assigned falsely to god, or

3) Lost altogether.

But notwithstanding all these misfortune that befell the scriptural texts, as to render them structurally vulnerable at times, difficult to decipher at other times…etc. they still contain, in term of guidance and salvation, the essentials4.

2.) The Qur ’an and Salvation

2.1) Who will be saved?

a) {Qur'an; (Al-Baqara) (البقرة) [The Cow]) (111)}

(111}وَقَالُوا لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلا مَنْ كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَى تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

{111} And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if ye are truthful."

Note; this is the first instance where the reader is exposed directly to the Quran’s straightforward requirement of proofs to sustain assertions or claims.

b) {Qur'an; (Al-Baqara) (البقرة) [The Cow]) (62)}

{62}إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالنَّصَارَى وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ.

{62} Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

2.2) Who Is right guided?{Qur'an; (Al-Baqara) (البقرة) [The Cow]) (113)}

{113} وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ النَّصَارَى عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَقَالَتِ النَّصَارَى لَيْسَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ الْكِتَابَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ.

{113} The Jews say: "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say: "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Yet they (Profess to) study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what say those who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment.

2.3) The grudge of Jews and Christians against Muhammad

{Qur'an; (Al-Baqara) (البقرة) [The Cow]) (120)

{120} وَلَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلا النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلا نَصِيرٍ.

{120} Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee (Muhammad) unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The Guidance of Allah,-that is the (only) Guidance".

Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor helper against Allah.

Note;

(1) This assertion has already been verified historically during the past 14 centuries and up to the present (see below for an example of this extreme behavior by the Fundamentalists of America).

By its very nature, it is classified as; “Long Term Unfolding truth Type”.

These long term assertions, and the Qur’an contains scores of of them, serve a twofold purpose;

a) Prove the timely exactness of the Qur’an, by making its assertions unfold in due time in the future, as signs of its transcendent nature, for the generations concerned,

b) Prove to all intents and purposes that Prophet Muhammad is what he claims to be.

(2) Now, even supposing that through intense and sustained ecumenical activity, a “New United World-Church”, transcending all existing divided churches (including the Catholic Church), can somehow be reconciled with each other, in a sort of Hegelian synthesis and accept to coexist peacefully and don’t work to annihilate each other5, the Quran’s assertion will still hold true, since this newly constituted body, will never include among its members the “Ebionites” or the “Jehovah Witnesses” among others, and thus will not depart, by its inherent structural nature, from its initial Christian’s stand, disparaged vehemently and condemned unequivocally by the Qur’an.

(3)The more so, since this assertion echoes another assertion stipulating that Christians will stay divided in enmity till the end of Times (see assertion 6 below).

So, in order to falsify the Qur’an, all what diehard Christians, doubting the Qur’an and not accepting Muhammad as that Prophet announced in Deuteronomy (18; 18), have to do, is simply to implement the above suggested agenda!

2.4) Are all Jews and all Christians to be put in the same bin?

Qur'an (3).(113-115) (Aal-E-Imran) (آل عمران) [The Family of Imran])

{113} لَيْسُوا سَوَاءً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ.

{113} Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration.

{114} يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُولَئِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ.

{114} They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous.

{115} وَمَا يَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَلَنْ يُكْفَرُوهُ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالْمُتَّقِينَ.

{115} Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right.

Note; this stems from God’s Justice and Magnanimity, given that Muslims themselves are treated exactly with the same immovable Justice as clearly attested by the following verse {Qur'an (4) (An-Nisa) (النساء) [Women] (123-124)};

{123}لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلا أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ وَلا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلا نَصِيرًا

{123} Not your desires, nor those of the People of the Book (can prevail): whoever works evil, will be requited accordingly. Nor will he find, besides Allah, any protector or helper.

{124}وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلا يُظْلَمُونَ نَقِيرًا.

{124} If any do deeds of righteousness, - be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them.

Note also that the idea of the “Chosen People” has no currency in this last Universal Revelation, superseding all the previous national and tribal ones.

3.) ٍ Some Quran’’ s assertions of relevance to this thesis

3.1) Qur’an non falsifiable6 {Al-Qur'an, Surat; (Fussilat) (فصلت) [Explained in Detail]) (.41-42)};

{41} إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالذِّكْرِ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّهُ لَكِتَابٌ عَزِيزٌ,

{41}Those who reject the Message when it comes to them (are not hidden from Us). And indeed it is a Book of exalted power.

{42} لا يَأْتِيهِ الْبَاطِلُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلا مِنْ خَلْفِهِ تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ

{42}No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise.

3.2) No Discrepancies in Qur’an {Al-Qur'an (4) (An-Nisa) (النساء) [Women]) (82)}

{82}أَفَلا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللَّهِ لَوَجَدُوا فِيهِ اخْتِلافًا كَثِيرًا.

{82} Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah (God), they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.

3.3) Recognizable Signs given in the Future; Al-Qur'an (27) (An-Naml) (النمل) [The Ant} (93)

{93}وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِهِ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ.

{93}And say: "Praise be to Allah, Who will soon show you His Signs, so that ye shall know them"; and thy Lord is not unmindful of all that ye do.

3.4) Where Signs are to be seeing?

Qur'an (41) (Fussilat) (فصلت) [Explained in Detail]) (53)

{53}سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ.

{53} Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth) {horizons}, and in their own souls (within themselves), until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?

Note; the fields of verification of these signs are to be found everywhere (horizons) (آفاق) {test fields; Astronomy, Cosmology, environmental science, Meteorology, Oceanography…etc.} and within the human body {test fields; biology, biochemistry, Genetics…etc}, and in any scientific discipline amenable to human empirical probing.

3.5) Jews tampering with Bible and forgetting part of it

Qur'an (5( (Al-Maeda ((المائدة) [The Table, The Table Spread].( 12-13)

005.012 وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا وَقَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلاةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنْتُمْ بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لأكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلأدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأنْهَارُ فَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ.

{12} Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel and we appointed twelve leader among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practice regular charity, believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

{13} فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَنْ مَوَاضِعِهِ وَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ وَلا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى خَائِنَةٍ مِنْهُمْ إِلا قَلِيلا مِنْهُمْ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ.

{13} But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind..

Note;

(I) this assertion has also passed the test of falsification, since recognized today not only by Muslims, but also by all biblical specialists of any standing, including the Catholic Church itself through a document issued to that effect during Vatican II (1962 – 1965).

(II) It has taken the Roman Catholic Church 14 centuries, before being forced to swallow the snake of this truth, but one can still find remnant of diehard’s nostalgic Christians, who want to return the clock of time back to where it was then !.

(III) This obscurantist line is promoted today by the American Fundamentalists and Dominionists, who are notorious for their hatred of Islam and its Prophet, and is represented by the likes of (from left to right); the Baptist evangelist; Billy Graham, his son; Rev Franklin Graham, the fundamentalist and moral majority propagandist; Jerry Falwell, the television evangelist and founder of Christian Broadcasting Network and the Christian Coalition; Pat Robertson, the Lutheran; Jacob Aall Ottesen Preus II, the; Rev. Jerry Vines of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida and others;

Who still uphold, against the facts, the false dogma of the “infallibility of the Biblical Texts”, and shout over the roofs; that the Bible is the literal! Word of God, virtually dictated by God to the sacred authors and therefore; to be taken literally as completely free of error of any kind! Or in Jerry Falwell’s own words;

The Bible is the inerran!...word of the living God. It is absolutely infallible!, without error! in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as well as in areas such as geography! Science! History! Etc.7

Notwithstanding the testimony of the Scripture itself to the contrary which can be verified by any reader for himself.

No doubt, that we are facing here a pathologic case , which brings to mind the old age medieval obscurantism, hardly amenable to dialoguing or discussing issues objectively.

And this in turn, attest not only to the gullibility and platitude of these hoodwink church leaders, but proves amply that it does not take much to be misguided or mislead, by choice, once facts become of no relevance for judging matters or issues!

And I suggest for the perplexed or the neophytes, who are submerged by the paltry and shoddy propaganda of these dinosaurs and want to know about these visible errors, to read;

3.6) Christian forgetting part of the New Testament

Qur'an (5( (Al-Maeda ((المائدة) [The Table, The Table Spread].( 14)

{14}وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَى أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ.

{14} From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the one and the other, to the Day of Judgment. And soon will Allah show them what it is they have done.

3.7) Jews and Christians in doubt about Scriptures

Qur'an (42) (Ash-Shura) (الشورى) [Council, Consultation]) (13-14)

{13}شَرَعَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الدِّينِ مَا وَصَّى بِهِ نُوحًا وَالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى وَعِيسَى أَنْ أَقِيمُوا الدِّينَ وَلا تَتَفَرَّقُوا فِيهِ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَيْهِ اللَّهُ يَجْتَبِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي إِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُنِيبُ.

{13}The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).

{14}وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوا إِلا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَلَوْلا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُورِثُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ.

{14} And they became divided only after Knowledge reached them, - through selfish envy as between themselves. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, (tending) to a Term appointed, the matter would have been settled between them;

But truly those who have inherited the Book after them are in suspicious (disquieting) doubt concerning it.

3.8) Only The Qur’an, can guide Jews and Christians out of their bewilderment

Qur'an (5) (Al-Maeda) (المائدة) [The Table, The Table Spread] (15 – 16)

{15}يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَنْ كَثِيرٍ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُبِينٌ.

{15}O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book, -

{16}يَهْدِي بِهِ اللَّهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلامِ وَيُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيم.ٍ

{16}Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His will, unto the light,- guideth them to a path that is straight.

3.9) Autographic Qur’an safeguarded by God from tampering and corruption?

{15}إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ.
